- The inside of the sawmill is closed to visitors; the outside can be viewed when visiting the village. A pump house welcome center opened in September 2025; no 2026 hours were found.

Before you go
- Call the Ford Center office at 906-487-3673 before you go. No visiting hours are posted.
- Michigan Tech closed the sawmill interior because its electrical systems, walkways and lighting do not meet minimum safety standards for visitors.
- The Baraga County Historical Society runs the pump house as a satellite of the Baraga County Historical Museum, under a lease from Michigan Tech, which owns the property.
- Most of the houses Ford built are long-term rentals and the rest house Ford Center guests, so treat the village as private homes.
