J.W. Wells State Park Is Three Miles of Green Bay Shore That Michigan Got as a Gift in 1925. The Man It Is Named For Had Been Dead Four Years.

J.W. Wells State Park, on M-35 south of Cedar River, was given to Michigan in 1925 by the children of a Menominee lumberman, and much of what stands there was built by the CCC.
